The designing department was established based on the increasing demand to create the sketchings of the single glass moulds considering the available technology and the production abilities of the company. The rising requirements for the speed and precision in sketching became the initial impulse for establishing the first CAD department.
Nowadays the drawing documentations
are made in two departments equipped by AutoCAD software by Autodesk company. Another two departments equipped by
PowerMILL and PowerSHAPE software by Delcam plc.
create 3D models and subsequently programmes for machining on CNC machines.
The activity of the designing department has a significant part in the quality and precision of the production. Therefore the department was equipped by digitalising device MicroScribe-3DX by Immersion Corp. Lately, enabling to ensure (up to a certain complexity of the product) shape identity of the produced glass mould with the one delivered by the customer.
In the communication with the customers preparing the documentation themselves we try to use the possibilities of the computers to the highest extent and hand over the bases for the production in the electronical version mutually. It means via discs or Internet. Apart from the common discs there is also a possibility to use ZIP media.
